Of the three types of grapes used, Pinot is used in moderation at 40% to 50%, Meunier at 30% to 40%, and Chardonnay at 10% to 20%. Not only is the blend made up of a small proportion of the three, but reserve wine accounts for 20% to 30% of the total. In addition, a dosage of about 45g per liter is used.

After 18 months of ageing, the wine is disgorged and then aged in bottle for at least three months before being released.
