Macallan Double Cask 12 Year is a premium Scotch whisky produced by the Macallan distillery in Scotland.
The raw liquor used is made from 100% malted barley and aged for over 12 years in two types of oak barrels: American and European oak.
American oak barrels impart flavors of vanilla, caramel, and coconut to the whiskey, while European oak barrels bring in notes like nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger.
The combination of the two creates a whiskey that is mild, creamy, characterful yet well-balanced.
Macallan has a long history of producing consistently high quality Scotch whisky, earning numerous awards and accolades.
