The Macallan Edition No.2 is the second release in a limited series from The Macallan Distillery in Speyside, Scotland. The series was created to explore The Macallan's unique cask selection and the fusion of different flavours.

About Macallan Distillery

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 and is located in the Speyside region of Scotland. Macallan is known worldwide for its rich, complex single malt whiskies, particularly those matured in sherry casks.

Features of Macallan Edition No.2

1. collaboration :

   • Edition No.2 is the result of a collaboration between renowned Spanish chefs, the Roca brothers (Joan, Josep and Jordi) and Macallan whisky maker Bob Dalgarno, each using specific casks of their choosing to give the whisky its individual personality.

2. scent :

   • Rich aromas of citrus, vanilla, nutmeg, ginger, baked apple and cinnamon.

3. Taste :

   • A well-balanced blend of tropical fruit, caramel, dark chocolate, nutmeg, cinnamon and oak flavours. Rich and smooth on the palate.

4. Aftertaste :

   • It has a long-lasting fruity and spicy finish. Sweetness and spice linger on the palate.

5. Alcohol content :

   • It is bottled at 48.2% alcohol by volume.

6. Barrel Selection :

   • Edition No.2 has been matured in a combination of sherry, American and European oak casks, each imparting its own unique flavour to the whisky, creating a complex and rich flavour.

Recommended way to drink

• Straight : To fully enjoy the complex flavours of Macallan, we recommend drinking it straight.
• On the rocks : Adding a small amount of ice opens up the aromas and mellows the flavor.
• Add a Little Water : A few drops of water will help tone down the alcohol and bring out more flavor.

Pairing

• Food : Goes well with smoked meats, roast beef, seafood, rich cheeses and spicy dishes.
• Desserts : Goes well with chocolate and berry desserts.
