"Hibiki 35 Years Old, Made by Tokuda Yasokichi III, Gorgeous Color Bottle, Hekiyou" is a whiskey born from a special collaboration between Tokuda Yasokichi III, a Living National Treasure and master of Kutani ware, and Koshimizu Seiichi, the third chief blender who inherits Suntory's traditions. This whiskey, with its unparalleled beauty and subtlety, is made using Suntory's rare, extra-aged raw liquor, and is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the complex flavors that come from long-term aging. The bottle is made of beautiful Kutani ware named "Hekiyou" that is decorated with Tokuda Yasokichi's unique technique called "Gorgeous Color."

The top notes of Hibiki 35 Year Old are a blend of floral and fruity aromas that spread out beautifully. In addition, there is an elegant sherry scent, a woody scent reminiscent of aloeswood, followed by sweet notes of vanilla and honey. The complexity and depth of long-term aging is apparent in the aroma, allowing you to experience the drama of the layered aromas.

Taste

The mouthfeel is soft yet heavy, with a fatty and creamy texture. The medium-bodied, luxurious richness spreads, with a harmonious balance of mellowness and depth. The sophisticated aftertaste is clean, with a delicate lingering finish.

Features

Hibiki 35 Year Old Malt Whisky is a carefully selected blend of ultra-aged Yamazaki Distillery malt whiskeys distilled between 1960 and 1971 from Suntory's 1 million barrels. The grain whiskey used is also aged for over 35 years, and is further aged in oak barrels for six months, resulting in a deeper flavor that is even more harmonious with the other malt whiskeys.

The bottle is a Kutani ware "Yosaibin Hekiyou" by Tokuda Yasokichi III. The unique "Yosai" technique beautifully expresses the gradation from dark blue to yellow, and the shining colors spread throughout the bottle. This bottle is painted one by one with a special glaze and a face brush, making it a one-of-a-kind work of art. In addition, the paulownia wood box has an inscription in ink that certifies that it is a work by Tokuda Yasokichi III.

"Yousai" means "shining color," and "Hekiyou" represents Suntory's "sun" and the beautiful gradation.
