The 16th release in the "24 Solar Terms Series" by Kishiatsu Distillery, "Shosho" is a whiskey that incorporates scenes symbolizing the four seasons of Japan. In keeping with the Shosho season, when the energy of summer festivals can be felt, the base of the whiskey is aged in Hokkaido Mizunara oak barrels. It features a unique flavor that evokes the peaty flavor typical of Akkeshi Distillery and the rich nature of Hokkaido.

The sweet, fruity aroma of banana juice and cream anmitsu is accented with the refreshing taste of salty lemon.

taste

The sweet and sour taste of sugared citrus spreads throughout the mouth, with a gorgeous hint of edible flowers.

Aftertaste

The refreshing spiciness of myoga, the umami of dashi soy sauce, and the subtle longing of lemon candy all linger for a long time, along with a light smoky peaty flavor.

Located in Akkeshi Town, Hokkaido, Akkeshi Distillery was founded in 2016 and produces whisky in accordance with the traditional Scottish methods while taking advantage of the unique environment of Hokkaido.
