"Akashi Pure Malt Double Distilleries 500ml 62%" is a Japanese pure malt whiskey created through a collaboration between Eigashima Distillery in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, and Saburomaru Distillery in Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture. It is a blend of non-peated malt distilled at Eigashima Distillery and aged for three years in sherry (cream) casks, and heavily peated malt distilled at Saburomaru Distillery and aged for three years in bourbon casks. This is a special whiskey produced for the first time by Keita Okawa of Eigashima Distillery.

The creamy, sweet aroma reminiscent of vanilla spreads, followed by a strong peat smokiness. The sweetness and smoky aroma are in perfect harmony.

Taste

The salted vanilla flavor lightly sprinkled with cinnamon and the barley chocolate spread throughout your mouth, intertwining rich sweetness and saltiness. Combined with the smoky flavor from the peat, you can enjoy a complex and deep flavor.

Aftertaste

The sweet and salty flavor and smoky aftertaste lingers for a long time, making it a satisfying drink until the very end.
