Akkeshi Single Malt Whisky Shiratsuyu 2023

Hakuro 2023, the twelfth release in the "24 Solar Terms Series" released by Akkeshi Distillery, is a single malt whiskey aged in carefully selected bourbon and sherry casks. It is characterized by its balance.

Aroma: The aroma of smoke from the waterfall rises, along with the refreshing scent of Japanese citrus fruits and the sweetness of custard pudding and marmalade.

Taste: The tart accent of mandarin ginger and the light sweetness of orange-flavored Ramune spreads. The balance of fruitiness and spice is exquisite.

Aftertaste: The spiciness of the white pepper and the freshness of the salted lemon leave an impressive aftertaste, followed by a lingering citrus sweetness and peeliness. Overall, the citrus freshness finishes.

Characteristics: Aging in the harsh natural environment of Hokkaido, a characteristic of Akkeshi Distillery, gives this whiskey a unique simplicity and complexity.
