Laphroaig 10 Year is a single malt whisky characterized by its strong smoky flavor, which is representative of Islay malt. The unique environment of Islay and the drying process using peat give it a rich smoky, earthy and herbal aroma that is deeply infused into the whisky. It is known to be a favorite drink of King Charles of England, and the whisky has been granted a royal warrant. Diluting it with a little cold water or drinking it straight will bring out the most of its complex flavor.

Aroma : A vibrant sparkling gold color with a rich smokiness. The aroma of seaweed and the herbal scent of iodine are reminiscent of the sea breeze, and there is a subtle sweetness in the background.

Taste : On the palate, the earthy aroma of peat smoke fills the mouth, followed by the nutty sweetness of barley. The subtle heathery aroma from the Islay water adds depth and harmony to the flavour.

Finish : The smoky, herbal aroma lingers until the end, with a bold, complex finish typical of Islay malt that lingers for a long time.

Laphroaig Distillery
Founded by Donald Johnston in 1815, Laphroaig Distillery is one of the oldest distilleries on Islay. It spread the smoky appeal of Islay malt during the days of moonshine, and was officially recognized as a licensed distillery in 1826. To this day, it continues to use traditional floor malting and preserves the essence of Islay malt through a unique method using malt dried using local peat.
