"Single Malt Akashi 3 Year American Red Wine Barrique 500ml 60%" is a whiskey distilled in February 2019 and bottled in July 2023, and is produced at the Eigashima Distillery in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture. Aged for three years in American red wine barriques (small barrels), this product allows you to enjoy the rich flavor and individuality derived from the wine barrels.

scent

The sweet and sour aroma of American cherries stands out, and you can feel the clean and firm presence of wheat. The sweet aroma of wet biscuits, raisin bread, griottine, gummies, and vanilla spreads, and the floral nuances and the fragrant taste of potapotayaki are accents.

Taste

The tannins and sweetness from the wine casks spread in the mouth, highlighting the fruitiness of cherries and red berries. The sweetness of raisin bread with granulated sugar continues, and although it still has a youthful taste, it is characterized by a straightforward liquor quality and a solid body.

Aftertaste

The finish is powerful, with flavors of dry vanilla and syrupy cherry liqueur lingering for a long, mellow aftertaste.

Eigashima Distillery is a historic distillery located in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, which obtained its manufacturing license in 1919. For many years, it has been producing Scotch-type whiskey using British malt, and has passed down that technology and history.
