Chateau des Rolles 2015 is a red wine that combines elegance and power, produced by a chateau located in the Saint-Emilion region of Bordeaux. The chateau, characterized by an octagonal tower built in the 1860s, has vineyards that spread across clay-limestone slopes with exposed limestone, providing the perfect environment for producing a wine dominated by Merlot.

The Rothschild family acquired the estate in 2003, and with the experience gained at Château Clark and the advice of Michel Laurent, they focused on improving the quality of the wine. By modernizing the fermentation facilities and vinifying the wine by plot, this wine has become one of the most notable young wines in Saint-Emilion.

Aroma : Deep purple in color, it has dark fruit aromas of plum, blackcurrant, and licorice with earthy nuances. It also has complex aromas of spicy cloves and oak.

Taste : A youthful, firm taste with a harmonious blend of rich dark fruit and aged oak. It features high tannins and a crisp acidity, with licorice and spice flavors that linger on the palate.

Aftertaste : It has a long-lasting, spicy and rich finish, and is expected to improve further with further aging.

Recommended pairings : Enjoy with roast lamb, beef steak or aged cheese to bring out the complex flavours.

Aging
It is aged in barrels for 15 to 18 months.
