Bunnahabhain 12 Year is a single malt Scotch whisky produced at Bunnahabhain Distillery, located on the island of Islay, Scotland. While Islay is known for its peaty and smoky whiskies, Bunnahabhain is an exception to the rule, offering a relatively milder and more accessible flavour profile among Islay whiskies.

Whisky characteristics:

• Aging : Typically aged for 12 years in a combination of American oak and sherry casks.
• Color : Deep gold or copper color.
• Nose : Bunnahabhain 12 Year offers notes of citra, green apples, nuts, caramel and hints of saltiness and iodine influenced by the sea.
• Taste : A good balance of longing and saltiness, with fruit sweetness, nutty flavors, and light and multi-seaweed notes. The peat smoke is very subtle.
• Finish: A relatively long finish with a gentle gentleness and light spice and notes of sea salt.

How to enjoy:

We recommend enjoying Bunnahabhain 12 Years as is, but adding a small amount of water will open up the flavor and allow you to enjoy more aromas and flavors. It is also a whiskey that can be enjoyed as an introduction to Islay whiskey for those who are not familiar with it or who do not like peaty smoke. If you want to pair it with food, it is good to pair it with seafood or smoky cheese.
